So u saying Biggie wasn't happy?

:stopitslime:

I'm not saying that but he made it a point to say that Money doesn't bring you the happiness you think but instead it brings you more problems. I think at 1st Big was very happy to get paid and get out of the hood but then he saw the realness behind the wealth and that's when his mind state changed. "Ready To Die" was like the broke dude on the corner trying to get the wealth. "Life After Death" was making it to the top and having the wealth but explaining all the issues that comes with that wealth.

not true. if u ever been to a poorer country, u'll see they are having the time of their lives. when u don't rely on money to make u happy, u end up being happy.

its just here in North America, Money is placed on such a high pedastal because of the illusion its so easily accessible.

This is true, a lot of us in this thread are Americans, we grow up and are taught to think Wealth and Money is everything. It's not like that in every country. It's sad cause like I said you can be wealthy and not be a millionaire but in America success is defined by how much money you have even though only 2% of the population can be classified as "Rich".

Saying money doesnt make you happy is just STUPID to me, at least as it pertains to certain aspects of life. The reason why money brings you happiness is because it gives you OPTIONS.

A large portion of our lives is dedicated to obtaining money. We go to school so we can get a decent job. And we get up every day nd go to work for eight hours or more to maintain a standard of living.

Money wont make you happy? Please. First of all, the only basic necessity to LIVING that is free is oxygen! Food, shelter, even water cost money.

You wanna travel? Costs money. Your Moms/Wife/Daughter needs that operation to save their life? Yup that costs a lot of money too.

Some people will be happy just with being able to afford mansions, diamonds and Bentleys. But others will find happiness in other things that money can do for them.

I bet most people would be happy if they could give a struggling family a lump sum of money and drastically change their lives.

Now of course money is going to do nothing for certain things in life like obtaining real love. But as we know, many marriages end over financial reasons.

No money will not make you happy 100% of the time. There are things in life that money cant resolve. But not having money when you really NEED for important things it is guaranteed unhappiness.

There was always a quote I liked, from George Carlin, 'money doesn't buy happiness...it buys options, which can create a form of happiness'....I'm about to find out, I took a financial knockout about 2 weeks ago, not only losing substantial capital, but about 75% of any income, I had coming in. I wasn't 'balling' like luxury cars, and shyt, but had my nice little comfortable living, and lifestyle, with a few perks. Now, I have to re think everything, but I've been up and down too, getting out of jail with $60 and nothing else, to Nieman Marcus and $200 dollar dinners....I have a back up fund, with hopefully like 15, so I won't be hitting the curb or the parents house...but we'll see about the happiness, cuz I wasn't all THAT happy with the paper....and now that's gone.

:whoa: you've got to give us the story on this :to:

Without putting it all out there, I've been working since I was a little kid, like 16, and I've been up and down, like I alluded to above, broke and high with a quarter, to the other side of things...but with that, you know, that moment can come where it's all over in a matter of minutes, and you feel those clicks around you're wrist, up against the wall, and you're thinking....man, tonight was supposed to be different, LIFE was supposed to be different, I was thinking of some random girl I wanted, surreal, like all that is over. Think about heading up to the 8th floor, and changing out. Think about toiletries.

Basically, a play went bad, pretty much the worst it could have gone, and I didn't end up with the cuffs, for whatever reason...but I had to make something right, with my paper, a little less then 20. I'm hot right now, and i can't work, and I'm far in this, like my shyt ended in one frame...but, I'm still out here, for now. Feels good getting that shyt off my chest, even in an abstract way, someones 'gonna ducktale' my blood and heart, but I can still lol at shyt, fukk it.
