People will drop $100 at a bar with no hesitation. But the second you bring up investing $100 they say “it’s too risky. Wealth isn’t for everyone 😂

For most, the $100 spent at the bar is promised to give them what they want, (as much as can be expected)

drinks, girls, escapism, a few hours of fun, social media posts, stories over brunch the next day

whereas vaguely investing $100 is very much not promised at all, to deliver any results, or what the results could be? How easy is it to "invest $100" in what? with who?

People have to have knowledge and then they can make better decisions, or choose not to.

People can still do that and go to a bar…

Doesn’t change anything I really said. Most people go out for social interaction and most people still don’t want to invest in shyt that often times loses more money than it makes.

Recently invested a decent size chunk of money last year and lost about 80% of it.

Most people aren’t trying to play the gambling game of investing especially when the money isn’t guaranteed to make anything

I don’t know if you were fukking with crypto, NFT’s, Options, or YOLO’ing your money, but damn. How in the fukk did you do that?
:wtf:

100$?? That's chicken change around here lol

Need at least $1000 to invest into the market or at least REIT's

Even when you do invest a few racks, having knowledge how the market works is crucial

ETF's, Index funds etc is far safer. They grow over a period. Whereas a stock from a company fluctuates

Set up a reoccurring weekly transfer of $100 from your checking account to a high yield savings account. That’ll end up being $5200 for the year plus whatever interest you gain. I know a lot of people can’t do that but even if you did $20 or $30 dollars it’ll add up nicely over time.

I know damn well folks on here aren’t that literal the intent is to continually invest $100 not just putting $100 into the market one time. The issue is usually when you talk to someone they will make up an excuse about how risky investing is but will gladly trick off $100 at a bar or strip club. Just imagine if you invested just 10% of the most frivolous purchases you made.

What can you continually invest $100 into that pays out? I feel like it's talk just to sound like they kind of expert we should be listening to. I feel like anybody using the word "invest" that vague and broad doesn't really know what they are talking about. Real financial advisors don't talk like that.

Why not just put that money in a savings account and let it build up?

A simple etf like voo, SCHD, or even vti. Funds build up at a far better clip compared to a high yield savings account. Just dollar cost average over time $100 here $200 there just keep it simple.
