Drugs, alcohol and one night stands are highly overrated. Only thing I can say is if you had kids early then that means they leave earlier and you can experience life again in your 40s/50s

But your going to be disappointed AF if you choose to live that type of life of drugs alcohols and 1 night stands in middle age cuz you don't recover as fast and it has a greater impact on your health and you don't really get any long term satisfaction from it.

It gets better as the kids get older. We have 4 - two teens, one tween and a 2nd grader.

For a loooong time we were both miserable. Thankfully, neither one of us wanted a divorce at the same time. Plus I think we realized divorce wouldn’t solve our problems.

I promise it will get better as the kids become more independent. The key is for you both to train your kids to be loving and responsible. I can’t stress this enough. Every thing you do as a parent should be to train them to take care of the themselves.

Then you and your wife can get some of your lives back. Parenting is like prison - you gonna do some years. The key is how many? 10-15 or 25-life? That depends on how you raise ‘em.

End well, this will not. Breh you have a family. Boys who love you. A wife that loves you. These are priceless and men are willing to kill just for a small taste of what you have. So what you didn't get to fukk Fernanda from the favela...You still have time pursue your passions, but for the meantime it will be with your family. Start exposing your boys to certain things. Take family trips, and share experiences together. Life doesn't stop, you just have to move a little different.

put boundaries up for your “you” time (which it sounds like you do already, good for you) but we all got responsibilities that take up 5 days out of the week.

You fukked up by not taking care of the topics in your first 2 paragraphs OP.... I made sure to live my life to the fullest in my late teens and 20's...i traveled around the world... Smashed varies women of all races and religions.... Finished college... Made great money... And a bunch of other check offs from my list before I even thought about settling down with a family of my own.... Now that I'm a husband and father I have no regrets.... I feel like if I die right now I'd be good cuz I accomplished so much in my life.... I'm 10 years and 7 wedding anniversaries deep with my Black Queen as of this day and I love it... I'm where I'm suppose to be imo....

Marriage and family life ain't for everybody but it def won't do you justice if you never really took care of yourself as an individual FIRST....
