My mother’s maiden name is so rare that I’m 42yrs old, lived all over the country and never even heard the name. Literally anyone else with it is a relative. My cousin said he met someone at Home Depot that had our name and turned out, she was family.

I went to school with a white kid whose last name was Jenkins (haven't seen another white one since). Williams happens sometimes like the actor Robin or the actress Michelle.
Brown, White and Green seem common with Blacks. The last name, Black...seems more common with whites. Franklin seems like a more common Black name.
Blacks mostly have "old stock" WASP/Scots/Irish names. A lot of whites are more recent immigrants...so they got random azz names that almost no Black person ever has.
