can someone explain this- Harvin is due a non-guaranteed $41.5 million over the next four seasons.. so the jets dont owe harvin any money?

They owe him his base salary each year (next year $12 mil, year after that however mil, etc) if they keep him on the roster. If they decide to cut him, they wouldn't owe him any of his remaining money, only hit that would come is from the pick they gave up to get him.
If the Jets are officially out of the playoffs soon, they should probably consider shutting him down for the rest of the year so that pick only ends up a 4th than a 2nd

thing is percy just isnt as impactful in their offense and hes easily injured. he prolly wanted to go somewhere where he can be utilized a ton (hence him trying to get traded from minny which was a run-first team)
