It's not that, it's that, it's something different. While there are a lot of ex Sony people there, others from Rockstar, Blizzard, etc. are there as well.

About the game, they aren't making a sequel in a series so that allows an almost unlimited freedom to do things. Naughty Dog can't reinvent the wheel with Uncharted or The Last of Us. They are what they are now. This is a game where they can give some homage to the past but also blaze their own trail as far as ownership of the franchise. The leader of the studio is from Crystal Dynamics of Tomb Raider fame.

Dont jinx it breh. Perfect Dark is one of my favorite games of all time, and PDZ was an immense letdown.
The interviewers seem to know that theres an important balance to be had between old and new..hopefully PDZ isnt in the reference AT ALL

Sunset my favorite game this gen by far. Game was built around fun gameplay.

Same director leading this game tells me fun gameplay is the priority. This won’t be a movie game

This could potentially be a bad thing. The original tomb raider reboot game was good but we saw how it aged.

If this has a very strong single player campaign with a strong female lead that's good enough to do numbers tho, nevermind the multiplayer.
