Perry Saturn appreciation as a technician

Great fukkin worker man. And the guy came back and became a real hero by stopping a rape and getting shot in the process.

He had some amazing matches and was up there with the best in the ring. Arguably on the level of any of the other dudes he came in the WWE with (Malenko, Benoit, Eddie)

I always thought that the WWE could have done more with him. he had a great look, his mic work improved a lot, and he was a great singles and tag worker. By the way, did anyone have more finishing moves?

At several points in WCW and WWE he finished matches (got the 3 count) with the Death Valley Driver, Sheerdrop Brainbuster, Rings of Saturn, Diving Elbow Drop, that Moss-Covered Three Handled Family Gradunza (swinging Fisherman suplex/buster), and Total Elimination (ECW only)

Perry Saturn is one of my all time favorites. He should have got the push and run that Benoit had.

I agree that he was underutilized as a talent.

But you know what it was? That eye. It didn't do him any favors. Vince took one look at that and decided this dude had a ceiling and would end up as midcard comedy. He couldn't take him seriously.

great thread I was just watching some of his WCW matches the other day he was always on of my favorites and when the 4 of them came to WWE I remember I was the most excited about him

to a legend in the ring and a hero out


and of course
when he returned after being missing for awhile they thought he could be dead


then I knew how my friend from middle school felt when his daddy returned after he ran out on them yrs ago
