So is it ok to panic yet or do we wait for it to reach pandemic status?:lupe:
If I were you, I wouldn't panic. All of the cases that have been confirmed are people who worked very closely and came into contact with Ebola patients. Unless you work in a hospital or are travelling/have travelled to Africa, I wouldn't worry...

...yet. :damn:

Most of the Africans who contracted Ebola weren't healthcare workers.

Ha. I caught that that too. All the cases in the US have been Medical personnel of some kind. But what about all the people they have come in contact with. I ran off the list. Mutiple Flights. A freakin Cruise boat. A Subway trip And as @Big Boss said. How many people touched that Bowling Ball last night?

I was watching the local news and they said he went bowling last night and woke up with a fever of 103, headaches, and diarrhea. Do the symptoms really hit you that fast overnight, or was this dude possibly feeling some light symptoms last night but brushed them off as no big deal?
yea it hits that fast, do you know how you die from ebola?

u bleed out of every orifice you got

Didn't that Nurse in Dallas catch it by "Touching" something that was used on that 1st patient? And people wonder why Belize took that Cruise and threw it in the bushes. Belize like:

i think that was the spanish nurse

the dallas nurses got infected because there werent properly protected, they wore suits where there necks were explosed

Anyone with Epidemiology background tell us what us really going down? Did the CDC really slip up this badly?

From my knowledge Ebola is damn near like parasite, it has to have the host being actually sick for it to pass around. I think NYC is safe but they will need to chart out all the people he has had direct contact with. Sitting on a Subway isn't going to have him transmit the virus. If he sneezes and then touches a rail, then the chance of infect skyrockets. As long as he didn't have his bodily fluid somehow leave his body during the transmission period NYC has nothing to worry about.

For the record, I do think the chances of transmission are low but I don't know the whole story or have the info. :yeshrug:
