You could get one before, just go down to the train station and pick up a listing. You'll only be able to get the lowest paying job because you need higher stats for the higher paying jobs.
at the first time you do a Wild Talk.
The first time you meet an enemy you kinda have to guess. Then whenever you use an attack on them that weakens them it'll show up next time you L1 to scan that type enemy. But you can try to figure it out too. Most fairy type enemies that float in the air are weak to gun shots. Sometimes lightning as well. The ice brehs are weak to fire, etc. sometimes it's hard to figure out but you'll stumble on their weakness more often than not.
Just play normal breh. Games not hard like that. I've died once so far in this game cause of careless stuff and I'm like at 6/16. If you've played a turn based RPG before, you'll be fine. Just make sure you manage your time properly.
