Gabe keeps getting fukked over no matter the interpretation. At least in the original Ellie was spared entirely. Gabe gets a horrible outcome in both versions

Movie was great!
I liked it overall but OG >>>
Ellie was VIP with it.
Lithogow was cool, but the OG Jud was better.
the place beyond Pet Semetary looked faked as hell though. Looked CGI'd or green screened...throw in that cliche lightening.

Ending was kinda bleak but it was ok. Never saw the OG but reading, it probably is more terrifying than this having the kids switch roles.
OG Aged horribly. This wasn't that good to me, but I think it's honestly because the Story is just dumb in the grand scheme of thing, and no movie can really save it.
The Music during the credits was cheesy as hell.
I thought it was cool. I got caught lacking and jumped once or twice. lol. I think the older one was scarier. (The Zelda scenes in the OG were some of the freakiest things i've ever seen as a kid). Swapping kids definitely enhanced the movie greatly. Overall, I recommend seeing this in theaters. I think the theater experience makes this better than if you waited to see it on Netflix.
