Not a pet guy but my family has owned a pet before.. We had a big a** female Rottweiler that liked to play rough. My sister ended up getting more than she could handle one day and ended up getting bit on the top her head. My parents had to get rid of the dog so they ended up donating the dog to the local police and she became a drug dog.

Some of you that have anger management or stress problems on here should invest in owning a pet.

Aww must be hard to get rid of a dog...they really become a part of the family.

Owning a dog has been such a positive experience. My dog has really taught me to be more patient as a person.

When I was a kid I had a dog that was a German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix. It was the best dog in the world until it died.

um because its true, in africa and in the carribean dogs are kept for guard dogs and really thats it.

It's too cold here to keep dogs outside...they would freeze. I don't like dog hair either, but I always have a lint roller with me - at my desk, in my car, in my house etc...it's not something that isn't easily taken care of.

So cute! Have you ever tried Eye Envy? I used that on Nikko when he gets the tear stains - it really works! (it takes about a month of consistent use though to see a difference though - at first I was skeptical, but just kept using it anyway and then they eventually disappeared).

Yah - I feel so guilty when I have long days at work. It's definitely a big responsibility.

No - dog house isn't heated. If you don't want to own a pet, then don't own one - but to own a pet and keep it in a cold dog house is stupid.

My dog's very clean. When we go out for walks, I clean his paws so that he's not running around getting dirt from outside indoors. I don't have carpet. The only thing that annoys me is the fact that he sheds, but so do I - I have long dark hair that you can see on white tiles...with pets, you just have to be willing to sweep every day and clean more often than usual.
