For Independent artists I'm pretty sure Bandcamp probably provides more money for the product.

But artists are putting their shyt on Spotify & Apple music hoping that some of their joints end up on a big playlist do boost up their listeners.

DSP's have nothing of value without artists. These artists need to be getting at their labels to get better deals for em and if they have their own rights then band together and demand more.

Also the pitiful payments are part of the reasons many major artists gave up their catalogues for millions in recent years. Whoever is buying all of them up will have a monopoly when it comes time to sit the DSP's down at the bargain table.
