The break makes more sense than what was speculated back in the day. Pete Rock was popping on the production side and CL felt like his attention to their singles were put on the backburner because he was getting money. But CL sounds like a loony at times

like he was saying fukk what ever personal grudge he has against him...Pete should have realized that it was in thier best intrest to capitilize off of the 25th annivesary of their classic LP MECCA AND THE SOUL BROTHER......
they did a few shows kinda like a mini tour but they really didn't maximize what could have been a great business move..
even in regards to putting out a short reunion single or lp.....
CL said he even offered to put up his OWN MONEY to cover his half of the expenses...
but for him to basically have a 25 year span of pete having "hate" towards him that basically has cost them $$$ is the REAL LOONY MOVE
