Welker was a decent player for the Miami Dolphins, he was basically doing what Amendola is now.

Before he came to NE he had 67 catches for 687 yards and t TD in his last season in Miami

This year in STL Amendola has 63 catches for 666 yards and 3td's

I just think its funny hat people automatically assume Ammendolea no questions asked will duplicate what Welker did which was record breaking for 6 years

If the Pats really low-balled Welker, than I can't blame him for wanting to get paid being old
For his sake though he better not be trying to go somewhere with no QB or other WR to play opposite him (i.e. Texans, Lions) because he's not putting up those same numbers wherever he goes

It's literally the same amount of opportunities they produced damn near identical numbers and Amendola had more TD's

Regardless i think you are downplaying Welker a ton to think Ammendolea will automatically duplicate his record breaking production

Yeah but it's good for them to have a deep threat guy.

They also got him Fasano, Moeake, Bowe and Charles out the backfield.

They have some nice weapons on offense, plus what we can assume could be a good line.
