They clearly didn't value Welker. Why? I don't know. But I expect them to either bring back Edelman or sign Amendola. Maybe even both.

You don't know why?

Because they have Tom Brady.

Welker had 1 TD before he joined the Pats

And he has a million catches with only only 30 something's TDs with him

so if Welker's success is entirely a product of Tom Brady and the Pats system, why didn't every receiver they've had since Brady's been there have similar success? Or what about just the slot receivers before Welker? Welker essentially got the same contract as Brian Hartline in terms of guaranteed money, it's not like the Pats would have to break the bank for him. This is a bad move for them unless they sign either Amendola or Greg Jennings for the low.

fukk Welker. They offered him 16 million guaranteed last offseason and he said no. Now he takes less to go rock with Peyton, GTFOH.

Get me Cruz right now Beli.

That's probably why he did leave. They offered him that last year, he puts up almost the same numbers as last year even after they tried phasing him out early on, and than they offer him just $5 million per (less w/o incentives).

That 9 million plus this 10 would equal 19 million over 3 years which would average out to over 6 million per over the span of the 3 years. If we gave him 12 million now that would be an average of 7 million per year and as you can see in the market, no one wanted to pay him that.

We're about to go get out CBs and safety, and re-up with Vollmer and shyt. fukk a Welker. Go get me Jennings and cut Lloyd and bring in Amendola. Maybe scoop up a WR in the drraft.

Theyres no gamechangers in free agency to make your d that good

You can try to put a brave face on and say the Pats are better without Welker but anyone with a brain knows its not true

Hope Ed doesn't sign with the Texans it'd be much tougher for me to hate them.

there gonna do what they always do, sign for quantity and not quality

They have no choice right now. One starting CB might be doing a bid. They have to re-up with Vollmer, we need another WR, CB, Safety and defensive end that can rush the passer and another DT next to Vince to get those double teams off him.
