Real talk, I don't understand why we don't see more big stories about PED use in football.

Sure, it's not as "exposed" as it was in baseball a few years back, but suspensions in the NFL are at an all-time high ... yet we really don't see much coverage of it. Or maybe I'm wrong.

But that's 13 suspensions in one calendar year.

Remember when a bunch of the Carolina Panthers players from their '03 Super Bowl team were linked to steroid use? Even the punter was taking them. Barely made a blip on the radar.

Also becasue of records baseball records are or were the msot storied in sports so when that was tainted people went nuts nobody gives a sh!t about nfl records its not a stat sport

It's not that.

We don't care whether NFL players live or die. We already assume they can't get through a 16 game season without roiding up anyway.

Jets could unload a quarterback as part of Revis trade

Posted by Mike Florio on April 12, 2013, 3:47 PM EDT

If/when the Jets ship cornerback Darrelle Revis to the Buccaneers, another current member of the roster could be making the trip to Tampa, too.

While poking around the question of whether the Jets could be trying to include quarterback-of-all-trades Tim Tebow in the package (which would keep the Jets from cutting Tebow and seeing him sign with the Patriots), we tripped over a previously unknown nugget. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the discussions between the Jets and Bucs have included the possibility of the Buccaneers assuming the contract of quarterback Mark Sanchez.

we have too many backs but I'd hate for dude to go. Hopefully he continues to play well if he does leave.

Steelers keep Emmanuel Sanders

The Pittsburgh Steelers have matched the New England Patriots' one-year, $2.5 million offer sheet to wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, league sources tell ESPN.

Sanders' agent, Jorday Woy, also told ESPNBoston.com that the Steelers matched the offer sheet his client signed with the Patriots.
Bengals 'closing in' on James Harrison deal

With the Bengals prepared to report on Monday for the start of offseason conditioning, all indications are that a big-name linebacker and former rival could be joining them soon. Things are known to change in free agency, but it appears as if it is not a matter of if the Bengals are going to sign James Harrison but when.

Negotiations between the team and Harrison are expected to resume on Monday according to a league source. Harrison visited Cincinnati on Thursday and left a favorable impression on everyone not only in a workout but his demeanor.
