The Detroit Lions are looking to improve defensively in 2013, and are set to host a pair of free agents. Glover Quin and Jason Jones are scheduled to visit the Lions, according to Adam Caplan and Ian Rapoport.

Quin was rumored to be a candidate for the franchise tag with the Texans, but Houston ultimately decided against franchising the impending free-agent safety. Quin made 84 tackles for the Texans last season, recording one sack and forcing two fumbles. Quin also had two interceptions.

If Welker does go somewhee else i think the Rams would be perfect..Bradford doesnt have a great arm but is very accurate on short passes and that would fit Welkers game

After a rough start to the league year, the Ravens are on the board in free agency, bringing in former Giants defensive lineman Chris Canty.

Canty has already signed his contract and posted a picture of it on Instagram.

The 6-foot-7, 317-pound Canty started nine games for the Giants last season and recorded three sacks. For a Ravens defense that lost defensive end Paul Kruger and linebacker Dannell Ellerbe today, the arrival of Canty will be viewed as good news.

Bengals middle linebacker Rey Maualuga could be making a free-agent visit to the Cardinals.

“Wheels up to AZ #freeagency,” Maualuga wrote on his verified Twitter account Tuesday.

The 26-year-old Maualuga racked up a career-best 122 tackles for Cincinnati last season. He holds the No. 81 spot on PFT’s Free Agent Hot 100, which we will continue to update with signings as they occur.

Maualuga and Andre Smith are the lone unsigned Bengals in our top 100. Punter Kevin Huber and defensive end Wallace Gilberry both have re-signed with Cincinnati.

The Vikings locked up a key cog to their offense on Tuesday, signing fullback Jerome Felton to a three-year deal.

Agreed, especially with the Cook signing. Would be a nice fit for the Rams.

And a guarantee that Pats would not have to see Welker for 4 years..
