He's trying to devalue them so that when the share price drops enough, he will swoop in to purchase even more shares than he originally had so he can have more of a say in the operations of the business as one of its largest shareholders.

It's been 4 years and we've yet to get any sort of transformative product from all this A.I. investment.
ChatGPT? most people are using the free version and having problems with the app just making up false information.
Google Gemini? most people find it a nuisance and don't use it
Apple Intelligence? shyt doesn't even work.
Meta AI? only people using that are indians creating slop and ragebait to get a few dollars that are worth far more as rupees
SoraAI? a lawsuit magnet that people are just using to make ragebait

They're pivoting to robotics. They'll have robots that can follow commands similar to how one can get the simulation of an intelligent being when talking to chatgpt. The problem with that though is that the personal robots will be far too expensive for most people and with so many companies trying to kill jobs with AI, they won't have enough people who will buy them to recoup the costs of production.

The problem is that OpenAI can't demonstrate how they can generate the revenue needed to make the energy costs worthwhile. All of the strict AI companies are struggling with the same problem: there is no path to a profit based model. So you essentially have two options: AI companies continue exploding in funding to the point they can open up their own nuclear energy facilities to power all this shyt, or the government steps in. Whether that means government takeover or heavy subsidization. I think the latter (government steps in) is more likely, and will happen after the bubble bursts. Someone - whether it's the Trump administration or whoever comes next - will bailout the companies, pay off the execs, and take over the operation. And it'll effectively mirror the China model where you have corporations that are basically government fronts.

Even Microsoft is looking at this shyt and wondering what the point is. The dam will break at some point.

Don't know or care why that racist boer is selling shares
But the investment in AI is not matching the output. We talking billions in investment with trillions more being promised
Right now the result have not been mind blowing and all of this money invested needs to be returned but it seems like most of the companies don't have a real idea/product as the end goal. And even then the final product needs to be transformational in the same way the internet was. Glorified personal assistant or a more robust version of google ain't going to cut it

Extreme fear. Time for people to sell everything because America is going to collapse.

All the bubbles are going to pop.

It’s donezo. This is it this time.

All the influencers and Fintwit are saying it!

:mjlol::heh:

I’m not serious btw unless you want to sell low and buy high. When those earnings reports fly it’s your choice if you don’t want to be invested.

Always follow the money.

AI’s biggest limitation? Energy expenditure. Oil won’t be able to generate enough energy to sustain AI outputs but oil ain’t going anywhere, so AI is gonna stall until the oil barons die out and society starts embracing clean efficient renewable energy.

This is hilarious when you think about it. Data centers using up more electricity than the entire state they are located in but they wont use wind or solar to help power them :dead:

Use up all the damn clean water as well.

Lol. It doesn't mean AI is a bubble. Thiel is always first in first out then onto the next opportunity. That's how he did Facebook. AI is going to be booming for at least the next 5 years easily
Rarely do you see big players like this exit out of an entire position. You take some off to cash in winnings, but exit an entire position is generally not a good sign.

These rich people dont operate in reality. You removing funding from Nvidia which creates the chips that power AI to invest in OpenAI which is entirely dependent on Nvidia :what:

They must be trying to dilute shares for a hostile takeover or to buy up more

To be sure Burry is getting out completely saying he no longer understands the market which indicated that he thinks that the whole A.I. thing is a massive bubble.
It’s funny because Burry underperformed the S&P500 index funds.

Meaning if people simply bought QQQ over the last few years they would’ve killed his profits these over the same time.
