As a practicing black attorney, I fully understand why he is a very problematic figure. Moreover, he has contributed to the sustenance of white supremacist society's laws.

However, we CANNOT allow ourselves to allow white society's politics to exclude important black figures, regardless of their stances and inadequacies.

Dude deserves to be highlighted, not praised. Including more of him in the Museum is NOT praising/honoring him but is acknowledging yet another black man who has risen to a position of prominence.

I was opposed to it but you're right, he should be highlighted. He wasn't the first black justice, wasn't very memorable, but he was a justice. That's worth noting at the very least.
