Not gonna save you. They haven't been playing that good THIS year. And it ain't just points. How long it take them to get a second sack?
St Louis have the talent to be one of the best defenses in the league, unfortunately the offense has put them under constant pressure this season and the D unit haven't been healthy enough to develop any consistency and grow. Since their best player has regained his form (this is not even counting the Denver game) -
According to ProFootballFocus.com, only three teams force hurries more often relative to pass plays than the Rams.
But in the last four games, those hurries have become sacks -- 16 in all, and one every 9.69 pass plays. (That would lead the league if the Rams had that rate the entire season.)

This is the standard he's set for himself.
This thread is a
bout Peyton tho, and this discussion is about whether the Rams D is good enough to be used as an excuse for his poor play

Since he's become one of the greatest QBs in the history of the game. When you reach the level that he has reached, people are going to notice when you look as mortal as he has looked over the past few weeks. When?
Sigh, y'all don't get tired of the same fukking debate every month?
breh -don't blame us blame the mediaAnd how many of those games did you watch? What context can you put those numbers in? What about the fact their offense is 28th in points scored and 30th in yards? What about the fact their offense was 1-10 on third downs last week? What about the fact they've had some of the worst QB play in the league this season?Over that four game stretch they gave up 17, 10, 27, and 26 points.
What part of 'they have the talent to be of the best defenses in the league' do you not understand? Please spare me the exercise on trying to prop them up as a defense good enough to be used as an excuse. This is the nfl, if we're only gonna judge play against pushovers what's the point?

The performance they put on today isn't surprising given their personnel, injuries, adjustments under a new defensive coordinator and the glimpses they've shown this season. It's ALL relative, because their defense is capable of strangling the life outta any offense in the league.
Wait, so the media is now holding a gun to our heads telling us to make hyperbole-based comparisons just to get reactions out of other posters?breh -don't blame us blame the media
