Seriously. This goes beyond political affiliation. If this was Mitt Romney, no one would care. Trump is a facist piece of shyt human being. That Peyton would hang out with him after all he's done even post election just brings my awareness of Peyton's dirtbagness to a new high.

You're smarter than this. Colts/Peyton stans/Pats haters were leading that charge like "how could you root for such a franchise?" The point was, if you've been an NFL fan at any point in your life there's a 99% chance you're rooting for a bunch of dudes that back Trump or people like Trump. Where is the logical end? It was just another reason to hate the Patriots while rooting for teams with coaches/that have supported and were supporting much worse or the same (i.e. Bills fans as if Rex wasn't team MAGA or that the Jets owner wasn't a huge Trump donor). Moreover, people were going in on "he's endorsing him, by doing this and this is evil...etc," and then when Peyton was mentioned people straight up dodged. 67% of NFL donations go to Republicans, and the NFL has a PAC that donates specifically to Republican causes by and large every year. It was a stupid talking point always.

Not even Brady is a public Trump supporter and he has said many positive things about him in the past. Being out and about with Trump is a lot different compared to politicians of the past who aren't as polarizing as him. So yeah it is a big deal. You got half the country who hates this guy and wants him impeached so it's certainly nothing to give Peyton a pass over just because he's republican.
