Football players really are treated like gods in southern football culture :lupe:
I'll tell you a little story. My freshman year I had a friend who was an RA. Her residents included 2 football players which was weird bc most of the athletes who stayed on campus stayed in either Keys or Springs. Anyway, one of them came on to her very aggressively one night when she was making her rounds. After she filed a complaint, she was grilled by both irha and ufpd for about 3 weeks on the events that happened. She ended up deciding to not press charges bc he was a football player and he was sent to "counseling". After that semester, irha decided it was best to move her into another resident hall while he was free to stay there. They reassigned her to keys, all but about 2 rooms were where football players lived. Mind you she's like 5'2 110lbs.:mjpls:

The reason I asked that is because this story is almost never brought up aside from deflecting from what somebody else did.

Which to me suggests that folks don't really care about this chick like that and are just mad that they're guy is getting criticized. Outrage just seems a bit disingenuous to me.
I can understand that.

He's right though. All these "golden boys" are douchebags that get away with it because of white privilege.

People still don't bring up Tom Brady leaving his baby mama while she was pregnant.

And as Shaun King says, Peyton manning image is built on BS. Under the NFL rules of today, Peyton manning might not have been able to go to the combine. I emphasized might, because she would've had to take him to trial.

UT intentionally acted by an official policy of deliberate indifference to known sexual assaults so as to create a hostile sexual environment. UT had actual notice (and itself created) a long-standing, severely hostile sexual environment of rape by male athletes (particularly football players) that was condoned and completely unaddressed by UT officials, including Chancellor Jimmy Cheek, Athletic Department Director and Vice-Chancellor Dave Hart, and head football coach Butch Jones.

University Of Tennessee Condoned Football Rape Culture, Lawsuit Alleges

This is also brewing...

It's like they want you to get raped, it's there way of saying bytch know your place. Black men see this try to mimic cacs and fail greatly, Black women see feminism and try to mimic it and fail greatly. I am convinced that Black folks lost their identity and just do what they can do in white supremacy instead of playing by their own rules and respect culture which is lacking

I can't even get through half the article. Way too long winded and in desperate need of an editor. Does he ever get to the fukking point or the incident?
I disagree. Riveting read in my opinion. It did an amazing job of painting the character of the VICTIM. Thats why it was so long. I admit that i brushed this off on some "this was 20 years ago...:camby:". And i also thought this was some random "girl".(Not saying that would make what Peyton did any less bad). But she was a highly-respected doctor with a bright future who had been employed at the university for over a decade. This article explains the lenghths that Peyton, his father and the entire university went to cover the incident up. In the process, they ruined this womans reputation and her career. She was dismissed from 2 job positions at 2 different universities because of this. Its waaaaay deeper than we all thought. The point of the article was to show how far they were willing to goto cover up for Peyton. They even wanted her to lie and blame a black athlete :mindblown:
