As you can tell from my opening post i am a huge fan of this album. At the time Desire dropped, i was amazed at how it was slept on. But 6 years later and it goes just as hard.

But internal affairs, that album was amazing. Thats not me overrating it, thats me telling you how i felt from the day it dropped to this very day.

With that said, its good we are disputing two solo albums of such high quality that he has released.

With that said, RAW didn't get any love from me. Maybe i need to listen to it again.

I do like internal affairs but its not as cohesive as desire. I've always felt that album was just a collection of songs and desire has a lot more substance and replay value

War was pretty dope. Content wise it was very similar to desire but not quite on the same level.

I started fukkin' with Monch back in the "Fudge Pudge" days, so I'm always comin' in with super high expectations. I really dug Internal Affairs, but haven't really felt an album of his on that level since. Just cuts here and there.

I played this earlier today.

Still a great album & worthy of the wait from Internal Affairs,

2nd best solo album & 3rd in his whole catalogue if you include material with O.K.

Yeah I wish Monch would make a โ€œback to basicsโ€ hip hop album

Bout a dozen songs with some beats from Alchemist

I hope he does release that External Affairs album heโ€™s been talking bout a year ago

True.

I've been saying the same forever! The thing about Monch, since way back, is that sometimes it seems like he's forcing himself to be creative. This thing where he over-conceptualizes everything, is what broke up Organized Konfusion after Equinox. LOL!!

Just get some dope beats and rap over them. We donโ€™t need the concept album where he's in a coma and has to battle Death to wake up again. Just keep it simple and get back to the bars.

Yeah I noticed that too with him

Yup it did lmao

I think sometimes when the that happens an emcee needs to work with some other like minded emcees to get the creative juices flowing again, to help them remind themselves that great records a lot times come when your just having fun and not over thinking concepts for songs/albums

I wish Monch could just link up with Alchemist for a like half a year and write and record an album with Alchemist producing

Get a Kurious feature, a Prince Po feature, an O.C feature and let Alchemist do what he do with production

Facts.

Him and ALC would be the kind of return he needs to get back to basics. I think Large Professor would work too. He sounded great over P's work back in the 90's.

Great choice, Large Pro in the mix would be a great look too

Yessir

That actually would be perfect, a handful of Large Pro and Alchemist beats

Maybe even a yasiin feature for a hook! LMAO!
