Pharrell or Kanye, who's the better producer?

totally subjective to what you like and how much you value charting. me I just like the music and with that being said, BEFORE Kanye was even well known he was an ILL producer. like it was No ID running shyt then Kanye was steadily making a name for himself in the underground. so for me its Ye but I also prefer his production style over Pharell....

but....let me say, the first T.I. album and Clipse works some of the dopest production ever....and the forgotten Philly's Most was slept on. so its easy to forget just how far back Pharrell and Neptunes go back and how many songs they did.

Some producers don't sample like that, they make their own beats. Kanye samples everything so I agree, take the samples away and let him create his own beat and what do you have?

Pharrell's vocal melodies that he comes up with to wrap around his beats is what has always impressed me the most about him which is why the Neptune's projects with Kelis have always been my favorite collabs.
