Pharrell Announces Co-Ownership of G-Star RAW

One of hip-hop’s most revered tastemakers, Pharrell Williams, has taken to Instagram to announce his co-ownership of the premium denim brand G-Star RAW. The Amsterdam-based clothier opened shop back in 1989, during Pharrell’s high school band days, but most recently began collaborating with the award-winning musician on a collection of denim made from recycled plastic that is found in the ocean. Although, partners in design, We’re not sure anyone saw a co-ownership in the works. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

Read about this a few hours ago. After last nights thread about black owned brands, I got to brainstorming and this came up.

After Taxes come through, im applying for a trademark:lawd:Good luck to Pharell, I still want one of those Icecream Waffle Hoodies

LOL...how have I not seen this?

But yeah, hopefully he can breathe some life back into G-Star. They make good jeans...they just don't fit that well for me.

I've got a couple pieces from G-Star. I like some of their stuff, but sometimes they go overboard or have weird fits. They are very European (Amsterdam) so they aren't for everyone.

I didn't really like the G-Star x Pharrell collection from last year.

My biggest issue with their jeans is the extra stitching they add or holes that they put in their jeans. Not my style. As far as their jackets go they are very underrated.

Yeah I have a textured leather jacket that I wear thats pretty much my favorite and versatile as hell. I cant wear all the denim because I have muscular legs and while I do wear fitted -tapered jeans, I dont do skinny. I really like their washes and the quality of denim. Usually, its one or the other so I'l pay the extra to get G-Star for that.
