I can't get aligned with that one. It's not really about what it was, but what it is---Pac's destiny was to become one of the biggest icons in the history of the entertainment biz.And for a lot of people, the connection to Pac went beyond just the entertainment level.Like I said in my previous post, he's the closest thing hip hop has to reaching that Michael Jackson/ Bob Marley level. His genius was that he deliberately constructed his legend around death. It wasn't accidental. The man actually premeditated/designed it that way.His ability to envision was far reaching like that....That's some major game IMO.He made it so that he would be larger in death than he was in life. It's hard for me to look back on it with any seriousness when Bobby's star failed to reach the heavens.Pac's such a major icon now, any reference to a "prime" seems irrelevant.Especially looking back in retrospect, damn near 20 years later. It's not really about who's the biggest at any given point in time, but who leaves a lasting effect on the masses.

I just don't see that quality in Chris Brown:yeshrug:.He's a good artist.Music be jamming:stylin:

But he's not a once in a lifetime, transcending talent IMO.

I doubt he'll ever even reach the level of '04 Let It Burn Usher

Agreed. I can't even put Chris in the category of Ginuwine or Justin Timberlake. Chris's dope, but his music lacks in comparison IMO.

pharrel makes KIDS music under the guise of a regular pop artist

that happy song is literally some 5 year old shyt on a raffy tape

"Happy" is a song from a soundtrack to a kids' movie, but it has appeal beyond just 5 year olds. People of all ages like that song globally. Choirs at church are even singing that song.

:comeon:

everybody who dies while theyre still "relevant" makes a bigger impact in death, than they did in life. pac was never at any point bigger than prime bobby brown while he was alive, and thats all that matters.

put JD with chris brown and chris is easily bigger than usher ever was.
Chris has never had a Confessions. Chris hasn't even put out an 8701. I don't think he is anywhere near Usher's level as far as success.
I would say he is below R. Kelly and above Trey Songz as far a his over all impact and or influence thus far in the game.
