But he negated the fact that most of the reasons why "blackness" could stop you have NOTHING to do with you. It's not a matter of blame. shyt has been set up for the better part of SIX-HUNDRED YEARS to keep people of African decent subjugated on this side of the planet. Breh, this was the first that I even saw of this. I have never cared about the comments of celebrities. But again, I think how in touch can some one like Pharrel really be? Dude has been rich for the better part of 20+ years, has had access to SO much. Even Kanye, how much is he really in touch with the shyt in Chi-Raq? They can come down and make record with these cats, but how much are they invested in their future and well being? They can't do it alone, i know. But lets not act like Pharrel and 3 stacks and the sort are experts in the current black experience.

They have done a lot to help the identity, you are right. But these kind of comments coming from someone that people WOULD really listen to could be detrimental.
