Phil Jackson: "Today's Players Lack The Skills To Play The Triangle" - Lakers Nation

Phil Jackson comes off as the type who'd rather force players into his game than using players to their already given strengths.

Its his fault when you can't adjust to what you already have. Busy blaming his players for him trying to force a square peg down a round hole. That's what made Parcell's and Pop great. They coach to the strength of their players instead of whining

Yes and no. Phil used to scrap the triangle all the time in the playoffs with the Lakers. He would make between game adjustments on his offensive attack, and scrap the triangle if need be.

But yes, he's pretty antiquated in his philosophy.

some coaches attribute everything to their system after success and like to fit players in there. it works until either players arent good enough or are incompatible and then the said coach blames them and not himself for lack of adjusting.

Oh no this again:snoop:

Buncha dudes that think they know more than a 11 time NBA winner.
If he doesn't know that the difference from 1990-2010 and now is that he no longer has talented front office guys spoon feeding him talent, then yes, I know more than his ass.
