Nahhh REALLY?????

I say it all the time i couldn't stand Pat Riley before he came to the Heat. I was afraid he was gonna bring that same shytty style of basketball he was coaching in NY to Miami. Bunch of muscle-head goons (Mason, McDaniels, Oakley, etc) running around the court. On top of that he's never been good at developing young talent which is what the Heat was full of.
But when he overhauled the roster getting us Owens, then Zo then Timmy i started to see the light.

Everywhere...You never there.
Think about this:

- Won a championship in over 50% of the years he was coaching in the NBA
- 11 NBA championships/13 Finals appearances
- Won consecutive championships 4 separate times
- Teams 3 peated 3 separate times
- 2001 Lakers had best record of any playoff team ever (15-1)
- 69% playoff winning percentage
- After winning Game 1 of ANY series, teams went 48-0 (Bulls: 24-0/Lakers: 24-0)
- From 1996-2003, teams won 25 consecutive playoff series
- 70% regular season winning percentage
- 229 playoff wins
- 1,155 regular season wins
- Teams with 72-10, 69-13, 67-15(2x), 65-17 records

The GOAT.

:wow:

Back to your playoff and NFL Draft threads.

If POP makes it back to the NBA Finals, I'mma say POP > Phil ... he's done more with less. And the fact that Phil tried to talk down on the nicca makes me :patrice:

He'll never be able to shake the stigma of having MJ, Shaq, Kobie, and Scottie for all those rings, but just like he hasn't won without them, they haven't won without him either (with the exception of Shaq).
Whenever anyone says that, I just remember Del Harris failing. I think it takes a lot to manage those egos.

He got u mason too:pachaha:
That was just for a year because Zo was out indefinitely with the kidney disease and Timmy was limping while Brian Grant needed help on the boards after we shipped PJ Brown out of town.
The goons we had on the Heat were Keith Askins and PJ Brown to some degree.
