Y'all just be weaving these feel good narratives :mjlol:
So you're gonna pretend like Skyward Sword wasn't mostly shytted on by the fanbase? Like the Wii U didn't go on to sell under 14 million units in 4 years? Like the Switch had another high profile title for launch? Like Nintendo has ever made a pure open world game before?

They took risks. Microsoft cancels risks. End of story.

But Microsoft does have a game that could rival Zelda and Horizon, it's called Scalbo...ooooh right.

Oh but there's Fabl....oh nevermind

Or maybe they can go into their old OG Xbox catalog an make a brand new Phantom Du....oh.

Phil Spencer has made some good moves but he's pretty much left the actual game lineup barren. The refund policy, dropping Kinect, dropping the TV focus, cutting the price. The problem is most of what he's done have been common sense moves again not really with risk involved.

Let's not act like the original Uncharted was this huge selling game initially. It probably sold as well as a Sunset Overdrive or Quantum Break but Sony stuck with it and Uncharted 2 came out and the rest was history. Part of this is believing in your product and the studios that make it and giving them that chance to make the next big thing instead of taking a half measure and putting stuff out and when it initially doesn't set the world on fire completely abandoning it.

Even going back to something like Lost Odyssey. Who is to say that couldn't currently be a franchise with multiple sequels by now? They put out a single game. It sells ok and they abandon the IP. It's the same old story with them.
