It makes perfect sense. nikkas just gonna pretend that’s not what it is because nobody likes being called out for their colorism.
Well, I lived in both places so it’s MY observation. I see pretty attractive women in BOTH cities so when I hear guys say Philly women are ugly I’m scratching my head because there are beautiful women all over Philly on any given weekend. The ONLY answer I can come up with is DC is more professional, has more Jack & Jill/Boule/lighter than a brown paper bag types. I went to Howard so I’m speaking from facts and personal experience. You’ll see all of them pretty high yellow super light skin girls. A lot of mixed biracial girls go there, live around DC and stay there after going to the local HBCUs. In Philly you see more black/brown skin women. Not as many exoticals. But the girls look just as good to me. So when guys say women in Philly are ugly the only answer I can think of is these dudes are mad because they not seeing endless amounts of Draya’s and Beyonce’s there. And Draya is from Philly but the point is she’s like 1 out of 15 girls there. Most bad sexy girls in Philly look like Kelly Rowland whereas in DC, girls that look like Draya are more common. Thus my thinking but you can keep pretending like I’m speaking out of turn

Man Philly has been getting better every year over the last 10 years. Development is booming, food is out of this world, social scene is improving as far as activities and events (although night life is trash), great concert venues with consistent quality acts in town, sports is poppin' .....and im seeing a nice influx of more out of towners with big corporations moving in like Comcast. Their new tower opens in summer
I love it here. Cost of living is the best. It's between nyc and dc and cheap flights to just about anywhere......again the only thing that is trash is really the nightlife it's non existent here. But at my age i dont mind im not a club guy anyway....so theres cool lounges and places to chill at

Philly is cool. I got fam in UPenn and friends that went to Drexel. COL is pretty inexpensive. You get the NYC big city feel for Baltimore prices. The city is like 2 hours from NYC and DC so it's pretty central for weekend trips.
Yea the city ain't open that late but in a city of 2+ million people, you'll find your niche.

And hoes that look like that are all over there. Stop lying. And Black Immigrant can mean West Indian, Ethiopian (DC is crawling with them), Nigerian, Guyanese and plenty more. Be more precise.

Brooklyn was far from Bougie until recently, and the black/latin areas still aint bougie to me, so that theory is totally not true!
The black areas of Miami don't seem bougie to me, as well. I think you are confusing upper class immigrants, with regular, hard working immigrants. I would rather be with the regular immigrants then any upper class one, the upper class ones are so uncomfortable to be around just because they are so secluded from the reality of the average person, it's hard to deal with them. A regular immigrant who lives with the people, may not understand you at first, but once they chill with you, they are just like your cousins, different but still the same. I'm talking about all immigrants, not just black ones.

I don't know if it's colorism as much as they just never seen anyone different from them in real life. When they do, and she looks like some chicks on tv they thought they couldn't get, they lose their minds when they see them in real life.
You can see this with latin women. I grew up with them, so they aren't "better" looking just different. Because i seen them all the time, aint nothing special about them to me. It's the same with Caribbean women. When I hear people talk about why they want to be with these women, it's really because they want something different from what they seen all their life or had access too, and "regular" black women are seen as low to them, but instead of admitting that, they make up dumb ass excuses.
Most People are just followers. If ADOS become the shyt again, like in the 70's, they are gonna start saying they love nafessa, and other women like her. She is bangin', I wonder how she would look a little thicker
