From Philly. It still is in between gentrification and restructuring so I have a mix of new and old Philly. I moved out to the burbs 10 yrs ago but stay in Philly because of work, family and friends. I always refused to date Philly chicks because they seemed rough. The joke has alwayd been when u get serious, don't wife a Philly chick. None of my 6 friends married or date women from here. NYC, DC, Boston, Pittsburgh, And abroad for me. Born and raised Philly resident.

Man Philly has been getting better every year over the last 10 years. Development is booming, food is out of this world, social scene is improving as far as activities and events (although night life is trash), great concert venues with consistent quality acts in town, sports is poppin' .....and im seeing a nice influx of more out of towners with big corporations moving in like Comcast. Their new tower opens in summer

I love it here. Cost of living is the best. It's between nyc and dc and cheap flights to just about anywhere......again the only thing that is trash is really the nightlife it's non existent here. But at my age i dont mind im not a club guy anyway....so theres cool lounges and places to chill at

Honestly the nightlife isn’t even bad. Outside of NYC, Philly has the most diverse options.

Hell yes...

I went to Cleveland for the first time 2 years ago....

That visit was horrible ..

I actually felt depressed during that so called vacation...

Food was disgusting....... Scenery wasnt good at all

Cleveland is probably the most depressing place I been to cause of family..

The downtown scenery was empty....

Nothing for black folks to do outside of the norm of restaurants and clubs

The weather stay shytty

That whole rust belt area is sad

I think I know what @MaliktheRapper is talking about. PG had those types of chicks in the late 90s. A lot of them were up in morgan state. Mya and Amerie were literally from that DC/PG era.

Shaw was not mostly white until maybe three or four years ago. They finished building all the condos around 7th and Georgia by the time I graduated. There are obviously black people at Howard but there are tons of mixed people and biracials there who didn’t grow up around blacks and specifically enrolled there to get the black experience. Pretending there’s not a large contingent of this sort of people there is just a lie.

ok but you're pushing some narrative that DC is a lite brite mecca, which isn't true
i'm younger than you and dated Howard girls so my observations and experience is different from yours
