No offense but you sound like those black police officers that white police districts bring out the calm the Negroes down when one of us gets gunned down at a press conference.

These LE officers have others means to de escalate a situation. And of course we’ve all seen how they treat other cacs with weapons
It’s been a minute since I’ve done that training in the military but I’m not buying that that they have to go straight to the gun

. I used to work in a residential care facility dealing with teens and adolescents and learn how to restrain someone, even if they have an object or weapon.

I will never understand why police never use tasers on someone with a knife that is at least 6 feet away from them. They see his mother there trying to stop him and instead of separating and try to taser him or try to restraint him; the just flat out shoot and kill him, fukk those p.o.s po-lice. And another thing i'm not sure what the number is in other states but in CT you can call 211 instead of 911 when dealing with someone with mental health issues.
Tasers don't work all the time. There's a lot of situations where they done work
When the suspect is white they can damn near do anything

You’re supposed to use the appropriate amount of force based on the situation. So yes a knife would be met with a gun but if the opportunity of using a tase was there it should of be used if possible but in this case they did not have any. This is the same police department I’m in the hiring process plus i also grew up in that same area 3 blocks over (grandparents lost their house in the move bombing and still stayed til 2014). not everyone in the department has taser since they can’t hard them. Do i think of it was some black cops that grew up in the city that this would of been different ? Possible but sadly we can never find out that. i do think they would of kept running around the cars until he made that last lunging move where he pushes who ever that is away. That’s what also is going to be the thing that clears the officers.

The cops didn't even have tasers. Police departments have to retrain their officers or at least give them non lethal means to solving these types of problems.
This almost leaves them no other options but to shoot him.
