It has begun..

Avoid these demons and their products..

Tobacco company Altria Group to invest $2.4B in Canadian cannabis producer

Tobacco giant Altria Group will invest $2.4 billion in Canadian cannabis producer Cronos group for a 45-per-cent ownership stake as the global market for legal pot continues to grow.

Virginia-based Altria, parent of the company that makes Marlboro cigarettes, can also invest up to a further $1.4 billion within four years that would increase its ownership stake in Toronto-based Cronos to 55 per cent, under the arrangement.

"Altria brings scale, expertise and complimentary capabilities... that we believe will enable us to expand the scope and enhance the scale of our company," said Mike Gorenstein, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Cronos on a call with analysts on Friday.

Here comes more monsanto weed that is irradiated.. a process that is already marred in controversy.

Big corps, Industry production and the undercutting of quality...

There's already an issue since legalization in Canada with the licensed producers and the quality of product dipping fast. The fukking up the game fast

IRRADIATED WEED

https://news.lift.co/effects-of-irradiation-on-cannabis/

The results of the peer reviewed research showed no change in THC, CBD or moisture content, and minimal damage to a few terpenes present on the cannabis. While only a few terpenes were diminished, the exact ratio of terpenes in a strain is moderately changed. The overall profile is still clearly recognizable between the different varieties tested. The samples were compared before and immediately after standard gamma-irradiation treatment, and then evaluated visually and with GC and HPLC analysis methods.

Upon analysis, the main terpenes affected were the monoterpenes myrcene, cis-ocimene and terpinolene, and the sesquiterpenes gamma-selinene, eudesma-3,7(11)-diene and gamma-selinene. The study speculates this may be because these more volatile terpenes are more likely to evaporate when their molecules are ‘sped-up’ by the gamma irradiation.

And yet it's still coming out moldy... stop fukking with shyt that has nothing wrong with it in the first place. Weed has been fine forever without being hit with gamma rays. :camby:

If they can provide a constant product that is tested for pesticides and chemicals, and dont add deadly shyt to it the weed I would have to see how it goes.

If they want to be a part of the weed game, they need to be the opposite of cigarettes, keep it as healthy and natural as possible.

there's already been issues with rushing things to market. weed not flushed properly. the pesticides they are allowing for the legal process are monsanto crap and the irradiation process before packaging. not to mention them packing stems and bud that isn't trimmed properly.

I don't trust them to do anything but maximize profits. Their concern isn't for the consumer. Never has been. I think Tobacco manufacturers being in the weed game should be a conflict of interest in the first place.

shyt's gonna be about as healthy and natural as mcdonalds is to food :deadjay:

ideally this legalization shyt just lets people just stick with their local dude who they bought from, but hes not gonna risk much unless hes moving pounds and they're not risking anything at all
