I love Kobe....

He was hated growing up in this city but things began to change around 2005-2006 and now you see Philly take him as one of their own.

Back in 2002 they had Kobe on the cover of Philadelphia magazine and it was lowest selling magazine for them ever.

Both of his parents have deep roots in west Philly, he played aau ball in Philly, and he lived in lower merion not paoli or some shyt
I never got the 'he lived in lower merion' thing. Would ppl say that if he lived in yeadon or bensalem?
It seemed like classism more than anything else while completely ignoring how BLACK and Philly his parents and relatives are.

That be said, around the time of the finals was the period where he cut his parents off for that 'young Mexican girl' (c) Karl Malone . Iirc that's when he started claiming LA as his home cause he wasn't fukking with his relatives in Philly anymore cause Mexican video hoe p*ssy had him sprung . That combined with the finals comments kind of made it seem like he abandoned the city. But he's been back to Larrys, LMHS and other stuff. I never see him moving back like Barkley and others but I don't think Philly heads really hate him anymore.
