I’ve never been to San Diego. But I have been to La. Best tacos I ever had was at a random food truck. Matter of fact all of the Mexican food I had in La had me Must be a Cali thing

I am an east coast breh. The Mexican food was significantly better than any I ever had. Matter of fact I looked back on the Mexican I had before that as trash after I ate out there.


I may have even been basura by Cali standards but my bar was so low I did not even care

My experience with Mexican food was Taco Bell until I got stationed in San Diego and basically lived in TJ on the weekends

Made me a Mexican food snob for life

When I came back home all we had was Chipotle that was kinda close but not quite, then taquerias started popping up everywhere about 10 years ago thank God

Don’t get me wrong though, LA Mexican food is FIRE I’m just a Dago head at heart.
