As a Philly native, objectively, cheesesteaks are the GOAT sammich

Didn't reach that conclusion until I lived in the dmv for 7 yrs and missed home

Philly has so many gems for cheesesteaks...Angelo's, Gooey Louie's, Del Rossi's, John's Roast Pork, Cafe Carmela, Jim's West, Larry's, etc...

John's Roast Pork is the best cheesesteak in the city, bar none

I get mine with salt, pepper, extra ketchup, mayo & fried onions

We used to have a cheesesteak spot owned by some folk who said they were from Philly. I was sad they left but I was also happy cause I was going there too much

The most important ingredient is having the right roll. I think the places in Philly all get it from the same bakery and its hard to get outside of that area
