Went to college in Philly late 90s-00s. They were rocking those beards before anyone, me and my peoples called them Philly beards. Aside from jawn and bul (however you spell it) I also heard:

One of my boys was getting a haircut and they put black paint on his sideburns without asking! He was heated!! Haha I think they started that wave too, they weren't doing that in NY. Also I was there during the neo soul explosion and that combined with the high number of 5 percenters leads me to believe it was the birthplace of the modern Hotep. I remember a lot of nikkas talking that bullshyt on campus and the surrounding neighborhoods.
