Are they gonna tax peedi crakk or beanie Sigel for bus fare:gucci:

:snoop:

it''s my fault that my original post wasn't claro......not all artists everyone is included......overall in the grand scheme of things this is happening in the industry....if you're not coming in with a street backer from the jump that those dudes respect then you getting taxed more so for artists that are poppin or are marketable that make money doing club appearances..

the whole sean kingston/game beef ...if you remember...he got snuffed in the club......but game gave meek the respect/heads up that "some shyt was about to go down" im not getting into details and dry snitching but if you can't put the puzzle together i don't know what to tell you :hubie:

The same could be said for the Lox they not paying nikkas when they visit LA. I don’t remember any gangs getting into 50’s pockets either.

I think there are just exceptions to the rule from every city bro, not just philly IMO :yeshrug:

This is actual factual bruh trust me I am tight with a lot of industry cats....Im not saying all rappers in every city...im saying I can't think of a philly artist that claim blood or crip while other cities can't say the same ...if you don't think bloods and crips aren't taxing artists in LA then I don't know what to tell you bruh.

I was alluding more to the fact that no one coming out of Philly ever repped blood or crip and got taxed out in LA.....im not talking about local shyt.....most artists are backed by someone usually a hustler ....that's a given they bankrolling....im saying they aint out in LA paying gangs for protection to move around....and claiming sets

how many Philly rappers have come out of Philly though?and how many of them were worth extorting:jbhmm:?

Outside of Sigel, you have the Roots, and rappers who aren't on that gangsta shyt rarely have to deal with being extorted in the first place.

This is like one of those ESPN fun facts that don't really add up to much.

thier is no exceptioins to the rule...just because your favorite rapper seems to be untouchable on record....please realize it is just an IMAGE

it's alot of "unspoken things" happenng off the record to artists that would suprise the fukk outta you

for example the LOX was mostly safe in LA even during the tension of the east west shyt....cause Dee Dean of the Ruff ryders was paying dem taxes and had relationships with the Big U's..the Suge's and Michael Concepcions of that city

and 50 has haitian jack and the Crip K.P to ensure safe travel thru LA....

So basically LA where it all started....the leaders/OGs out there shifted their focus from dealing to extorting artists...

They know rappers/singer have to come to LA and move around (record/perform/club appearances).....so essentially they get money extorting them where artists have to pay the hood tax and in turn they get instant clout and protection....that's why you see soulja boys and the chris browns of the world all of a sudden reppin blood or crip

Beefs between artists are usually settled by the OGs that "represent" the them not the artists themselves

In Philly gangs don't fly here ...there's no bloods or crips or any of that. Strictly neighborhoods and "Ol' Head affiliation" This is way Game and Wack and them hate Meek so much cause they can't tax him or have him claiming blood and shyt....he moving squad deep and calculated...and his Ol' heads are certified BM & JBM .....

Long story short I don't really see artists from other cities that fall into this category maybe Oakland? (I see Oakland as Philly's sister city lot's of similarities).....

So whenever i see rappers and singers from all over living in cali and all of a sudden reppin a set i just shake my head... it's sad they are acting hard but are getting extorted heavy.....
damn bro i was finna say oakland and philly are similar before even seeing u mentioning it first. the street politics are the same. oakland, philly and detroit are all sister cities

I didn't say every rapper or artists....but you do see a ton of ny rappers claiming blood ...that Casanova track speaks about it now....not saying there arent legit blood members but they are getting taxed ....im more saying bloods and crips back in the day the industry wasn't how it is now...those gangs starting seeing the opportunity and and those budgets and were going after the ones that didn't have a backing....EDIT also as far as Diddy whose to say there wasn't some sort of big homie out in LA that coulda been taxing that we don't know about......you know at the end of Ross diss track to Baby he was talking about some big homie in cali or some shyt ....folks like that ...that are in the cut collecting

I don't know the origins or the specifics of when the whole hip hop taxing was really popping off but it's happening now..

Rappers getting extorted happened since the beginning of the rap music business. All the 80s rappers were basically getting extorted

Musicians been getting extorted since the beginning.

yes...i'm comparing this type of extortion to say how the italian mob extorts contractors and and shyt to work
