Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
is okafor really that bad?

I like this trade for Pelicans..Ad does not want to play center, he gets to have a low post scorer next to him..and okafor can hide his defense with ad next to him

He's not that bad at all, it's just that the rise of Embiid has destroyed his value, they should have traded him last year, or during the summer. It was made worse by how bad he looked when they tried to play him and Embiid together, and then even worse when Nerlens emerged as the better player for Philly.

Hinkie probably would have traded him during the draft.

Especially since Okafor has been over there rackin' up DNPs and shyt too. Pelicans are probably arguing that it's driven his value down.

Not really. Holmes was getting more time when Okafor was healthy so that should tell you a lot. His knee is fukked up which is a concern. Back to the basket big man just aren't really necessary in the modern era.

Eh, the Sixers look like shyt no matter who is on the floor when Embiid's not playing, everyone has pretty much shytty +/- numbers on that team except for Joel.
this is true, but his +/- numbers are surprisingly bad for what he was projected to be. idk. if i was NO this isn't the move i'd make. if i was another team, maybe, but eventually davis gonna have to get comfortable being a center. this will just slow down that move.

Nah, if Embiid weren't around they'd be playing him a lot more from the start of the season. The only big man on that team that gets consistent minutes is Embiid, everyone else is just at the whim of Brown's decision. Holmes minutes are erratic as hell too.

Okafor next to Davis works, it depends on whether or not Gentry will let him do his work but stylistically they are a match.

New Orleans has no choice but to make a move like this, if they can get lottery protection on the pick they have to make this trade. It would allow them to get a talented player, and then even if they miss the playoffs they can get another talented player. Otherwise, they start Davis at C which he honestly has no business playing, or they have to play Ajinca, since Asik is racking up DNP's and has 3 years left on his deal :scust:

If you can get talent, get it.

Yeah but damn near every teammate's numbers were better with Okafur off the floor compared to on. Okafur just has a lot of the small things to clean up in his game. His defensive rotations are usually slow. He doesn't hustle. At times just zones out on defense. Outside of post scoring he has nearly no real positive affects on the game but brings a lot of negatives. I like the move by New Orleans though cause I think it's a risk worth taking.

Of couse they would. His value still wouldn't be high because of his flaws as a big man though

His poor defense is an issue however his defensive numbers in a lot of cases are on par with KATs, or in some cases better. His rebounding is the biggest concern, the other things should get better with more experience but the rebounding is the biggest problem I see with him.
