Philly’s city worker strike ends after Mayor Cherelle Parker strikes deal with AFSCME District Council 33
Trash collection is set to resume after Philadelphia’s first major strike of city workers since 1986.

Jesus.. so all they got was a few viral videos and missed paychecks for their troubles. Whats the point of having a union if you're not ready to go hard in the paint. And you sitting here paying union dues knowing if it gets tough them demands are getting lowered. The deal is for a 9% wage increase over three years. Union leaders originally wanted a 24% wage increase over three years, but then lowered their demand to 15%.
That amount is close to the 8.75% Mayor Cherelle Parker originally proposed.
