guess i need to read the article cuz i still don't get it...what does bulletproof glass have to do with them being a store, deli, or restaurant? if the issue is what they're selling, then why not regulate that? For context as I'm under the impression some haven't read the article to understand where the city is coming from.........
Councilwoman Cindy Bass, who originally sponsored the bill, said the stores — many of which are delis — are “masquerading as restaurants.”
“They sell almost everything you need to get high, and if they don’t have it, someone loitering inside or outside, has the rest,” Bass said.
Bass told Fox News that the storeowners, who reportedly operate with restaurant licenses, in “more than 90 percent of cases they are breaking the law in terms of operating outside the requirement of their license.”
I hear what she's saying. She's not entirely wrong either although those are still broad allegations to put on the store owners. Regardless, I'm not a fan of any government, federal or in this case local, enforcing something like the type of windows a small business owner chooses to use. Especially small businesses where the clientèle consists of lower income folks.

This is an odd thing to legislate
Why would they want to change this ?
These stores are only found in the hoods ..
I'm pretty sure the people living there don't really care and understand why it's there
Personally..I never gave a shït about the plastic
