Tigalo is Drake on steroids :whoo: his r&b tracks are dope. His bars are top notch. When i first heard FE :wow: yall nikkas hate Authenticity because the lack of bars but as a r&b album :ohlawd:

There has been atleast ten threads on his verse from Slow it Down. Phonte is exactly what grown man rap is and sounds like.

Drake used to even rap exactly like Tay.

Phonte even called Drake out a bit. When Phonte says "2 Comeback Seasons apart..." on Not Here Anymore--that song was meant for Drake to collab on. Elzhi came through and blessed it though.

"To my knowledge, [a Take Care collaboration] is not happening. We've made contact with each other but all of my attempts to make something real happen have led to a dead end," Phonte said in an interview. "I saw that he dedicated his BMI award to me and while that was a very noble and thoughtful gesture, I'd much rather he had dedicated himself to finishing a verse for one of me and 9th [Wonder]'s songs. That, to me, seems like a more tangible way of showing gratitude. But with that said, I'm still a fan and I think he's an incredibly talented artist. When Take Care drops, he's got my money." I dont think Ive ever reflected on just how much of an impact lil brother and the Justus League's music had on my life. They were the modern day tribe, and as a collective a modern day native tongues. Much respect to the latter, of course, but those cats were poppin when I was still a snotty nosed kid...Lil brother and them were the soundtrack of my life during my high school and college years.

Yeah, Phonte is one of those MC's i like to call indictments on hip hop fans.....immensely talented MC's and artists that didnt blow because they weren't industry brown nosers, who got behind the mic spitting superficial, candy land fairly tales to idiots.

Funny I was watching his performance at the Robert Glasper Itunes Fesitval earlier and said the same thing. He's dope as an emcee and just a hilarious person all around. His Twitter is straight comedy.

One of my favorite artists of all time.

I could easily go through all the LB projects, FE projects and his solo album/features :ohlawd:

Met him in 2011 really good dude.
