The whole album is just sad

You can just hear them fading away...

:guilty:

It just never really worked without 9th Wonder

Been a fan since this dropped

Same here, that's the first full project I heard. First thing I ever heard from them was "Lovin It" on a basketball mixtape back in 06, then the joint with A-Trak, and I've been a stan ever since. Them dudes had a HUGE impact on my life. I saw the last show they performed together in NC as Little Brother back 2010 as well

Yep, a classic. Man, we might need to make a thread and drop gems from The Lawn days. Them beefs and threads were epic!

I didn't know what to expect from Leftback, but man was that trash. I bought two other trash albums on that day too smh Only good tracks on there was the long awaited "Second Chances," "Tigallo for Dolo" and "Curtain Call"

Honestly man, a lot of Leftback was older material. There were even 2 joints on there that were just remixes of Getback joints. They pretty much put that out (I think) to get out their newer songs, and to make sure that they didn't have a huge volume of songs on the cutting room floor. Little Brother doesn't have much that has never been heard. To this day, almost everything they recorded, they released, in some shape or form. Curtain Call and Tigallo For Dolo were definitely my favorite joints.

One of my 5 favorite rappers of all time. There's only a few MC's I can honestly say I'm forever indebted to because their music resonated with me on THAT kinda level, and Tay is definitely one of them.

This my old thread..still gettin love from my Coli brehs

yeah man, went through a break up after almost 4 years. Quite a few reasons it didn't work, including 1,000 miles of distance that got put between us 6 months ago. But a lot of it is also that I'm not willing to settle down just yet. I always knew Phonte's verse was incredibly true, but for the first time in my life, at 29 and after the most serious relationship I've ever had...I can finally REALLY relate to the verse. When I don't want a girl, I want a girl who understands that!

"Step It Up" is another notoriously slept on LB joint. They were dropping GEMS on that.

[Rapper Big Pooh]
shyt, cause women come, women go
Until we all mature we ain't really tryin to grow
With the girl we seein we ain't really tryin though
Try and beat it up fast on the living room flo'
:shaq::noah::win:

Got a little older, had to spend a little dough
Kept somethin in the pocket just in case I had to show
:duck:

Shorties how I did it when I took 'em to the sto'
Took a few to the mo', lot'll vouch for that
nikka bounce to the fact things I did was dumb
I account all of that to bein young
Got a little age, got some understandin
The older women get the more concerned with companionn-ship
:lupe::whoa:

It took me a while to get to this point
I don't expect all of y'all to understand this shyt
Read between the bass snares and kick
Everybody gettin judged by who they standin with, f'real
:ohhh::whew:

[Hook: Dion]
You make me step my game up, game up
Step my game up yeah step my game up
You make me step my game up, game up
Step my game up yeah, my game up
You make me step my game up...

[Phonte]
She said we should go out on a date
I said that's cool you can come to my house
She said nikka please~! Do better than that
Why the fukk I wanna come over and chill on yo' couch?
:mjlol::lolbron:

I laughed cause it seemed she had me all figured out
And my game ain't work like it did befo'
Dem are days long gone, cause once they get grown
These hoes ain't impressed by Applebees no mo'
:damn::sadbron:

Gotta dig a little deeper for that PF change, for PF Chang's
And if you can't afford it
You can still do thangs to show you ain't on no dumb shyt
Take her to a gallery, museum or some shyt
:obama:

Thank God for you and all the crew that you run with
Givin new meaning to the blind date
You so offi-shall, but a nikka can't attract Crist-al
With a Boone's Farm mindstate, knahmsayin?

:mindblown::banderas::salute:

[Outro]
Uhh, ay listen baby
(You make a nikka wanna go to the store and get some wine for you)
'Member when you got your first apartment, you used to have chicks over
What was the #1 line you used to always use
When you wanted to get 'em naked?
(Baby do you want a massage?)

Co-sign granted I wasn't really expecting much from leftback those were the only three songs I kept and the rest:trash:.. As far as phontigallo he is in my personal top 5 behind 3stacks,nasir,Redman and black thought..... dude is an all in one talent he basically fathered Drake and gave Kanye sum of his early style (as both have been on record for sayin he influenced them)
