Kanye been orchestrating for over a decade and he's fukking good at it. I'm sure it was an oversight because he has never hid from giving folks credit. NEVER, even if it's half a bar he'll give credit.

What about the Kendrick reference track for all day?

Edit: nevermind, he's credited.

Yeah, I edited it. I didn't know if he was credited because it never made an album.

But aye, I don't mind what Kanye does. He's like a conductor.

WHO the fukk chopped the sample for Yikes? That shyt was genius. I listened to the original and all I could think is damn they chopped it up.

With that said glad Pierre is getting his credit.

Kanye claimed he found every sample and made every beat
I doubt he made every beat but he probably picked every sample for sure and choose what stayed, what didn't, combined ideals and also added things to it too.

I know on Pablo he sent that father stretch my hands sample to a couple people which is why he ended up with two versions of it.

I kinda want someone to hop on the yikes beat and body it. Like I feel Kanye's verses were the weakest part of the song but I can't get enough of that beat.

nope Dre is an ENGINEEER Kanye has MIKE DEAN as ENGINEER.

Kanye is basically Diddy in the studio don't compare him to Dre.

They are all kinda one in the same.
Diddy is a mogul now, but when he was "hands-on" ( :troll:) with production, the work he put out with the Chuck Thompson's, Stevie J, Nashiem, the hit-man, etc. was top notch.

Diddy was a producer in the traditional sense. He never made a beat or played instruments.

Kanye was a beatmaker/sampler. He had other people add musical elements to his stuff even with College Dropout. Starting with Late Registration he brought in Jon Brion and then down the road others, and Mike Dean putting the finishing touches on his projects, engineering/mixing wise.

Dre is a dj, mixer/engineer, beatmaker, plays a little bit of keys. Works with musicians that add things to his projects. Dre usually puts the final stamp on the project with the mix/sequencing.

That's why I compared him to Diddy and not Dre. Kanye been taking a hands off approach for most of his career now. Dre was at least more than 2 albums in before he started outsourcing most things he did. Kanye went from having someone add strings and bass on College dropout to having everything done thereafter. By Late registration he was already buying beats from other producers :laff:

Diddy ran a label that was his main job.

When Dre stopped being hands on programming he was still exec producing, mixing and involved in the mastering process.

Kanye been with Mike Dean since Graduation and Mike does a lot more on "kanye's" beats than Ye himself.. Kanye has been effective at convincing everyone he is more talented than he is in fashion and music. His marketing should really be studied.

You're right. He should just let other people take credit for his work so he doesn't look like he's complaining to someone on a rap message board...

i didnt say none of that
:francis:

but message board...twitter...same shyt. if i was him i would just quietly send a email to my attorney instead of playing emoji wars on twitter for that trash beat. but i guess everybody gotta get likes these days

Dre does the exact same thing as Kanye. Where you think Kanye got it from?
Breh... come on.

Dre vs Kanye is not the same thing nor will it ever be the same thing.

Kanye was a fire beatmaker who surrounded himself with people to learn how to turn great beats into great songs and is someone with a REAL talent for creating catchy vocal melodies that stick. However this 'he's a musical genius' thing was valid for album 1.. 2.. 3. Then it became TEAM Kanye.

Dr. Dre is our generation's Quincy Jones. He took Hip-Hop music and the production aspect of it, to a musically and sonically completely different level than anybody before him in Hip-Hop. He worked with musicians to play live music, but as even Scott Storch explained it: he'd have a drum loop and Scott Storch would play different riffs.. and it was Dre who said 'THAT riff... play that again' and that became e.g. Still D.R.E.

Several artists have said that working with Dr. Dre is absolutely mindblowing and that he gets the best out of artists, I've never heard an artist say that about Kanye - and especially not one not currently working with him.
