I agree with him. (note: I'm NOT black, before someone asks. I fully assume someone is gonna say I'm not entitled to an opinion on the topic because of such, because that's Coli logic for you.)

This whole notion that black people flipped the script and took ownership of the word is bullshyt. If anything, it's led to the n-word transitioning from being a word that white racists used to use, to a word that only blacks used, to now, a word that isn't even associated with a specific race using it, but rather it goes hand and hand with "hip hop" (don't even get me started on just how destructive hip hop has been for minorities and the impoverished). It's not a "black" word anymore, it's a "hip hop" word. Which was fine before, because the large majority of hip hop fans WERE black people. But now, hip hop has been suburbanized and you can hear Migos being played in Beverly Hills and The Hamptons. This has allowed the word to gain some kind of social acceptance because people feel entitled to use it because their favorite rappers use it. Like dude said, I know latinos that use it more than blacks- and it's because they're from the "hood" and came up on hip hop, so they feel like they have a green light. shyt, I know black people that give them passes to use it BECAUSE of that same "justification". I know PLENTY of white people who were born with a silver spoon who use it too.

Why a black person would want to use the word is crazy to me. I don't actually think most WANT to use it, I think it's just so ingrained in them that they can't imagine NOT using it, so they roll with the "No crackas are gonna tell me what I can and can't say. We took the word back and use it as a term of endearment now." The concept is just so damn backwards to me. I can't imagine Jews WANTING to call each other kyke's. Or Asians being adamant that they should be allowed to call each other chinks. It all sounds stupid as hell.

Can anyone enlighten me on just what good comes from ANYONE using a word with the historical significance that it has? Who benefits from anyone saying that word? It causes more harm than good, regardless of who uses it.

we dont care if you dont "get it". Blacks don't owe you any explanation nor need your permission. go play in the street.

hes got a point,

people will only treat you how you treat yourself

call yourself an idiot, others probably will too.

black people are the only race on this planet that use racial slurs onto themselves in such a manner, to the point its shameful. and now its even acceptable for Hispanic people to say the N word, so yeah he has a great point.

Such an incendiary topic. Placing the onus on one side is never a good idea, and is counterproductive...

Actually its not. And that's the problem here.

"Who the hell are black people, to claim they took power out of a word we put power into" :demonic: Sums it up here

blacks are setting the narrative as it pertains to the Nword and racist are losing their shyt because of it

its so shameful to see black people use the n word, it isn't taking ownership infact its leasing the word. I was in footlocker in long island and heard a white boy loud as hell tell his black friend 'nahhh nygga these j's are nice' black boy did nothing, to use the same word that black people have been victim to for hundreds of years isn't taking ownership. plus its ignorant

I mean, if you see it that way, then fine. I happen to disagree. I think it's a double edged sword because the more it's used by blacks, it's acceptance as a "slang" term rather than a racial slur only grows, even if you see it as "it's OUR word now". In large part, because hip hop is essentially a mainstream "fad", or whatever you wanna call it now, that's gained acceptance in American pop culture. The word has zero positive value to anyone.

grade a white supremacist fakkitry...make a mess and tell black people to clean it up...you never hear white people talk about ending white supremacy and colorism but they will talk up a storm about the "n word"...why cant black people have this line others cant cross?...people absolutely refuse to accept these boundaries and look for loopholes to try to violate the one rule black people ask them to respect...
