He's right.

100 years ago, Nikka was no more famous of a word than other derogatory words associated with other minorities. We need to stop saying it. Stop calling each other it. Stop using it in music. That way, if someone did use the term, we don't look crazy going def-con on them when we say it 24/7. Us saying it only makes it more of a forbidden fruit for cacs. We stop. Then there's no excuse to say it unless you're a blithering racist.

One day I was in the mall and I heard a group of kids saying nikka this, nikka that, sup nikka. I thought it was a group of black kids, I turn around and it's a group of middle eastern, white kids saying this shyt. I'm like what the fukk, I just stared at them because I couldn't believe how open they were about it. Smh.

This is a problem and that's why I advocate nikkas cutting down on the word but the thrust of the word itself is that there is nothing wrong with it at base.

Cacs think of some derogatory words, terms, references, etc without the word n!gga or its derivatives everyday. So whether black Americans use nikka is irrelevant to the question of whether cacs will throw derogatory words at blacks. That is a given. Blacks have taken the power away from n!gg3r and made it our own. We have created a word and banned cacs from using it in their own society. Can you not see what a victory that is?
Don't get me wrong that is a victory in my book. The problem is you have all these non black coming up now using it becuz they think its ok to use it if it doesn't end with er

This is a noteworthy point, and perhaps nikkas should cut down on using the word for that reason. But for that reason alone, not because of any other imperative. nikka is a fine word all by itself. What an African American calls himself is not an Englishman's business. I have no idea why someone like Piers Morgan thinks it's his business to instruct us on how to act or why it would even occur to him that his opinion matters. I do not write articles on the British's terminology or word use. I have fine with letting them live and learn.

I use the word a lot but never in the presence of white folks. That's ours exclusively

At that point Id blame rap..older cacs you cant blame rap for their N word use, but these young ones yes. Its shocking the damage rappers did to us all, and for what? what did we benefit from having the Lil Waynes of this world make it accessible for non Blacks to think they can speak like us?? These rappers loved the attention of cacs and anytime that happens a Black man starts shucking and jiving.

There is no logical conflict between asserting the word is fine AND choosing to use it selectively so as to protect the word's integrity for those whom it was originally intended. So we agree. Alternatively, however, I don't see any validity in eschewing use of the word on account of cac's feelings about it. If some cacs feel a type of way, the focus should be on changing how those cacs think rather than refusing to use the word.

the n-word was almost retired(not 100%) until richard pryor got license to re-popularize it in his act. then came along uncle luke and russell simmons arguing for hip hop freedom of speech rights all the way to the supreme court. today the floodgates are open for all to use one form or another of the word. fucc that false term of endearment facade.

i will say this again, i refuse to spoon feed you information that has been readily available to you before and after you grasped the art of reading and listening.
