Its a fukking embarrassing hire. Why the fukk would we put the effort into going up I-75 way to Auburn Hills, if THEY wont put forth the effort into attaining top coaching candidates anymore? If Tom Gores want to run the franchise like we're the fukking Bobcats and Wizards, we'll treat them like it too as they see Drummond walk away in a few years. He'll decide what he wants this offseason.

Reports for the past month were saying Nate McMillan was the front runner.

i don't get why franchises like the pistons hire these incompetent coaches like mo cheeks

why not fukking go for somebody like shaw, van gundy's, etc.?

Those guys don't want to coach the Pistons, kind of like how less attractive people have a hard time pulling the attractive ones so settle :heh:

Michael Curry
On June 10, 2008 Curry was named as the head coach of the Detroit Pistons for the 2008–09 season, succeeding Flip Saunders. He received a three-year deal, worth $2.5 million per season.[4] On June 30, 2009, Curry was fired as head coach.[5] Prior to becoming head coach of the Pistons, Curry served as an assistant coach for Detroit and also as the NBA's Vice-President of Player Development.[6] Curry is currently the Associate Head Coach for the Philadelphia 76ers.[7]
