So, Detroit just offered him this contract before he fielded any others from other teams?
Letting him sign the QO and be UFA next year makes more sense, doesn't it?
He was a restricted FA right? Meaning other teams could offer him a contract, and the Pistons could match whatever he was offered.
What would make sense is for them to see what the NBA valued him at before giving him this deal.
Everyone knew he was staying in Detroit. Like how NO ONE offered Monroe a contract last season because they knew Detroit would match.
