Pistons just signed Sheed as a player development coach. The bigs are about to get a little bit better.
This is exactly how I feel, but I would like to see how the 3 work together first. Im glad Monroe added a jumper this season cause whoever is at the 4 needs to spread the floor. I believe that Drummond can be a 20/10/3 nikka by next season, thats how much confidence I have in the nikka. Josh Smith will turn out to be a bad oick up if they dont get any shooters that can be starters, and since our frontcourt is set, we need a pg and a sg who can attack the basket and hit open jumpers.

Josh smith has no tradeable value at this point. He's in a huge contract. Teams won't want that until the deal is more manageable.

Going after Igoudala would have made more sense. I wouldn't trade Monroe now
Sheeeeeeeeeed
Monroe is a quality young big that can actually play like a big and no injury issues aka a unicorn in today's NBA. No way do you trade him unless you are getting a star in their prime in return. The combo of he and Drummond has the potential to be an even better version of Z-Bo and Gasol in Memphis. you put athletes and shooters around these guys and in a couple years. That's why I just don't get the Smith deal. This nikka is not a fukking 3. Maybe Joe is loading up for a big trade. Or maybe he's trying to re-create the 2008-2010 Lakers minus Kobe.
I can't for the life of me figure out how Smith was higher than Iggy on their board.

Make it work, split Josh's PT at SF and PF.
He sucks at 3, he's been a negative at SF regardless of his situational stats in Atlanta. He truly hurts a team playing SF. Detroit really needs a good SF. Their PG and SG situation is okay but at SF, it's a nightmare. Why couldn't Josh play the 3?

Monroe is going to be a good player but Drummond and Smith work better together from what I seen. I honestly would trade Monroe for Granger or trade him for Gallo. They need a SF with the quickness and truth be told, Smith value just ain't that high to get anything good back for the Pistons. I like Monroe more than Smith.
i would do Gallo for Monroe...i think Monroe has a higher ceiling.... but everything you just posted was spot on
